A painting-digital screen diptych, WAR Zone is a conceptual and visual poem inscribed on Satoshi Nakamoto’s Bitcoin whitepaper. The form generated through the process of blacking out the text zone delineated by the letters W-A-R embodies the wartime suppression and mutilation of culture and innovation. The painting of this form confronts us with the material presence of this zone of obliteration.

Presented at  l’Avant Galerie Vossen, Paris, for the exhibition Poème Objkt. Initially created in response to the theme #NoWar for Digital Art Month Paris June 2022, presented by CADAF, Studio As We Are, and Beaux Arts Magazine.
